Pipeline Permitting Resources Available
Enbridge Energy has submitted multiple applications for their proposed Line 5 Tunnel Project in the Straits of Mackinac. You have the opportunity to comment on all of the applications and we can help! We have resources available that will assist you in making effective public comments that will shape the future of Line 5 at the Straits of Mackinac.

The guidebook, Pipeline Permitting in Michigan: Involving Citizens in the Decision-making Process, is available here.The guidebook is designed to help you navigate the permitting process. It provides basic information about permitting for pipeline projects in Michigan, and explains how citizens can effectively participate in the public processes. It explains what laws govern pipeline projects in our state, what public engagement opportunities exist, and how to use the public process to help protect water resources and public health and safety.
