On Tuesday the seven member BI Waste Management Committee held a special meeting and reviewed a draft “Evaluation Policy and Process” for all Station personnel.
The chair announced that American Waste has notified the BI Transfer Station & Recycle Center that effective October 1st the fees for disposal of the following items will change:
Mattresses from $15 to $20
Microwaves from $5 to $10
Gaylord boxes from $100 to $150
Standard Hopper $100
Non Green bags $7
Additionally, the Transfer Station will suspend accepting mattresses, appliances and household furniture at the close of the workday on October 31, 2020 and resume collections in the Spring of 2021.
