Great Lakes Water levels are down across the board, but that is really not news. They typically go down this time of year. What’s different is that the drops this year have been more than usual. Lake Michigan and Huron are down by 3 and a half inches, ¾ of an inch more than normal. Lake Superior dropped more than 2 inches more than normal. But, Lake levels are still near record levels. Current mid-line projections show Lake Michigan to be just below record levels as we go into the New Year, but the possible range in the forecast includes record levels from February to April.
